Become a Licensed
Landscape Architect

In recognition of the impact of the landscape architecture profession on public health, safety, and welfare, states regulate landscape architects through licensure.

Learn more about state licensure laws and regulations and contact your state licensing board.

Use the PLA designation to show the world you are a licensed landscape architect. For more information see ASLA's public policy (pdf) and FAQ (pdf) on the PLA post-nominal letter.
